Keith Hudson was born in England, educated at Oxford and Lincoln Theological College, and was ordained in the Church of England in 1962. Assignments in England included a curacy, a college chaplaincy, and a spell as Staff Officer at the Board of Education. He spent six years teaching (English and Drama) at colleges in Australia and an additional three teaching back in England, before coming to the US in 1982. He completed a Ph.D. in English at SUNY Buffalo, and went to LSU as Assistant Professor of English, then to Wesley College, Dover, as Professor of English and Drama. He was also Chaplain at Delaware Hospice for ten years. He then became Administrator of a company providing Alternative Education for needy children; a position from which he retired last year.
He generally has maintained a secular career in education while serving the church part time, either as Associate at a large church, or as Rector at a small one. He was Rector of St. Paul’s, Camden, for 17 years, and has been interim Rector of Calvary since 2003. He also teaches English as an Adjunct at Wilmington College.
He has three sons and a granddaughter (in England), and a daughter (in Philadelphia). He is married to Sandra (who is well known to Calvary members), and they live in Villanova PA.
